SoloFuel uses a structured recipe database and deterministic planning rules. A language model is not trusted to invent nutrition values, package quantities or grocery totals.

Recipe eligibility

Recipes are filtered using the user’s dietary preference, food dislikes, equipment and maximum cooking time. Replacement suggestions pass the same compatibility checks.

Nutrition values

Recipe nutrition is based on curated reference values mapped to recipe portions. SoloFuel identifies USDA FoodData Central as the primary nutrition reference. Values remain estimates because brands, preparation methods and portions vary.

Package-aware grocery calculations

Ingredient quantities are consolidated across the week and converted into estimated grocery packages. The product displays three related values: estimated checkout total, estimated value consumed this week and estimated carryover value.

Plan selection and variety

The planner balances user targets, budget, ingredient reuse, cooking time and the selected variety preference. Budget-first plans allow more repetition. Maximum-variety plans avoid repeated main meals when enough compatible recipes exist.

Plan-quality score

The score combines protein-target days, budget alignment, ingredient reuse, package value used and general calorie-range alignment. It is a product-quality indicator, not a health score.

Limitations

Prices are not live store guarantees. Nutrition values are not medical advice. Package sizes and availability vary. Users should confirm labels, safe cooking instructions and local prices.
